Loose Volume: 1.72 m3.
Log Length: 25cm (9 ¾”) – Tolerance on lengths +/- 8%.
Log Diameter: 7 -15cm (2¾– 6”) measured across widest point of log. Tolerance on diameter +/- 10%
Moisture Content: Average 20% or below.
Brash Volume: Max 4% per crate (brash constitutes bark and smaller pieces)

Mixed hardwoods/economical hardwoods, which is our bestselling category, are produced from lower density hardwoods, like black alder, alder, bird cherry, maple and other species. They burn quicker with a nice aroma and are often used in catering and smoking. These species have been used as wood fuel for wood burners for years due to the greater availability of material and their lower price. The pros are their lower price and the cons are their lower heat output compared to denser species.

Our flexi firewood crates contain over one-third more than the standard size crates, which is great if your storage is limited, and you wish to achieve the best price point per cubic metre.
Every standard size crate is hand-packed neatly with UK Certified “Ready To Burn” Woodsure/Defra/HETAs certified hardwood fuel.

The external dimensions of the crates are 1.20 x 0.8 x 1.25 m. When converted into loose volumes this works out at 1.72 loose cubic metres, which is nearly 2.5 builders’ bags or 48 units of 22L bags or boxes.
